Our Involvement
WHO ARE WE?
We were established in 2016 in Saint John as a volunteer-driven initiative. As students of Islamic knowledge, our mission is to uphold and promote values that benefit both the Muslim community and society as a whole. Our efforts are sustained through personal and family contributions, ensuring a sincere and dedicated approach to our work.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO COMMUNITY
In collaboration with two other mosques in Saint John City, are representing the Muslim community, we have acquired non-perishable food items, primarily chosen for their nutritional value and convenience for our vulnerable brothers and sisters.
OUR ENVIRONMENT
Our masjid serves as a spiritual and educational hub, offering the five daily prayers and a dedicated Islamic and Arabic school for children. We are committed to nurturing the next generation by instilling strong moral values, Islamic teachings, and ethical principles. Beyond education, we actively work to strengthen the community by organizing meaningful events and activities that promote unity, engagement, and a sense of belonging for all.

EDUCATION
Islamic Studies
We study and teach from authentic scholarly sources, providing knowledge in Hadith, Fiqh, and the Quran through structured and continuous learning programs.
Our teachings area based on recognized and credible Islamic scholarship, ensuring a deep and accurate understanding of the faith.

The Phases of Abu Hurairah Islamic Center’s Development
1. Establishment of the Masjid (2016-2018)
The first phase of Abu Hurairah Islamic Center’s journey focused on laying the foundation for the masjid. During this period, significant paperwork and physical work were undertaken to establish a space for worship and community gatherings.
2. Repairing the Masjid to Accommodate People (2018-2020)
In this phase, the center invested in interior construction to accommodate the growing number of worshippers. Renovations were made to ensure the masjid could comfortably serve the needs of the community.
3. Knowledge and Scholarly Reach and Study (2020-2025)
From 2020 to 2025, the focus shifted towards enhancing knowledge and scholarly reach. This phase saw the introduction of educational programs, study circles, and Islamic learning opportunities for all age groups to strengthen the community’s understanding of Islam.
4. Mosque Expansion (2025-2030)
As the population continues to grow, the center will enter a phase of mosque expansion from 2025 to 2030. This expansion will increase the capacity of the masjid to accommodate more worshippers, ensuring it remains a hub for faith, education, and community services.
